Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Valid Passport (ECR/ECNR accepted)
- Proven experience as a 6G Welder
- Gulf experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques (GTAW & SMAW)
Welding Test Requirements
Candidates must pass a technical welding test. The requirements are:
1. 2” Test Coupons
- GTAW welding method must be used
- Root penetration height: approx. 1.5 mm
- Cap height: 1–2 mm
- Root wave width: Not more than 3 times wire diameter
2. 6” Test Coupons
- GTAW + SMAW must be used
- Root penetration height: 1–2 mm
- Visual inspection on first root passes
- Use 2.5mm & 3.2mm electrodes for filling
- No grinding allowed (only brushing & buffing)
