Job Overview
The selected candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement of a wide range of non-food products for hypermarket branches across Oman. The role focuses on ensuring competitive pricing, quality products, reliable suppliers, and timely deliveries while achieving business growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Purchase non-food products according to company requirements.
- Source products from China and Dubai suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, MOQ, and delivery schedules.
- Evaluate supplier performance on quality, pricing, and service.
- Attend supplier meetings, trade fairs, and sourcing visits.
- Coordinate with logistics, shipping, and customs teams.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities.
- Maintain optimum inventory levels and reduce stock losses.
- Ensure compliance with Oman quality and safety regulations.
- Prepare purchase reports and supplier performance analysis.
- Achieve sales, margin, and cost reduction targets.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of experience as a Non Food Buyer in a hypermarket or retail chain.
- Strong sourcing experience from China and Dubai.
- Excellent knowledge of the Oman retail market.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Good understanding of import procedures and documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel for supplier meetings.
- Valid Oman driving license is preferred.
