Job Description
The company is seeking a skilled MEP Estimator with an electrical engineering background to prepare accurate cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems across various projects. The selected candidate will work closely with engineering, procurement, and project teams to ensure competitive and accurate tender submissions.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze MEP drawings, specifications, and tender documents with a focus on electrical systems.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), and material take-offs.
- Review project scope and identify risks, gaps, and value engineering opportunities.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project teams.
- Support bid submissions, budgeting, and cost control activities.
- Maintain estimation databases and cost benchmarks.
Requirements
Candidates should meet the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in MEP estimation.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and construction materials.
- Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
