Job Description – Industrial Electrician
Selected candidates will be responsible for the following duties:
- Plan and execute electrical wiring for lighting, power, intercom, and electrical systems
- Read and follow electrical drawings and technical documents
- Install electrical apparatus, fixtures, alarm systems, and equipment
- Prepare method statements for electrical installation works
- Work with HSE inspectors for risk assessment and safety compliance
- Install safety and distribution components such as switches, resistors, and circuit breaker panels
- Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring component compatibility
- Prepare and install GI and PVC conduits and route wiring through them
- Perform insulation resistance measurement, continuity testing, and phase sequence checks
- Identify and label cables using proper markers
- Inspect and replace old wiring and insulated cables to prevent system breakdown
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and repair or replace damaged units
- Carry out transformer, GIS, GIB installation works
- Perform control wiring, cable glandling, and termination works
Experience & Skill Requirements
- Proven experience in industrial and commercial electrical projects
- Experience in electrical infrastructure works such as:
- Lighting systems
- Power systems
- Telecom systems
- CCTV and camera systems
- Access control systems
- Ability to use electrical and hand tools like:
- Wire strippers
- Crimping tools
- Insulation Resistance (IR) testers
- Multimeters
- Ability to read electrical drawings and blueprints
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures and electrical regulations
Physical & Medical Requirements
- Excellent physical condition
- Ability to work long shifts and overnight duties
- Fully medically fit
- Good vision and hearing abilities
Language & Work Conditions
- Basic ability to read, write, and speak English
- Ability to work in Middle East climatic conditions
- Team player with the ability to work independently
- Capable of material identification, counting, and electrical material management
Eligibility Criteria
- ITI Electrician qualification preferred
- Valid license to practice the profession (if applicable)
- Indian or Gulf experience accepted
