Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for this position should meet the following requirements:
- BSc / BA in Safety Management or a similar field
- Valid Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
- Proven experience in an FMCG factory or plant environment
- Previous experience as a Safety Officer or in a similar role
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Good time-management and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively as a team player
- Working knowledge of Safety Management Information Systems
- Excellent understanding of safety legislations and procedures
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) policies and programs
- Coordinate with HR to establish safety-related onboarding processes for new employees
- Monitor workplace safety standards and ensure regulatory compliance
- Prepare and present reports on accidents, incidents, and violations
- Investigate incidents and determine root causes
- Identify process bottlenecks and recommend timely corrective actions
- Promote a strong safety culture across the organization
