Project Engineer – Mechanical: 5 Vacancies
Eligibility Criteria and Experience
Candidates applying for the Mechanical Project Engineer position should have the following qualifications and experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in oil and gas pipeline, piping and mechanical construction.
- 8+ years of overall experience, including project execution in a lead role.
- Proven site execution experience in oil and gas pipeline projects.
- Experience in ROW, stringing, welding, coating, lowering-in, backfilling, hydrotesting and tie-ins.
- Exposure to automatic welding in cross-country and trunkline pipeline projects.
- Previous hands-on experience in Saudi Aramco pipeline and mechanical projects.
- Must hold Saudi Aramco Engineer Approval.
- Experience working with Aramco-approved or vendor-code contractors.
Technical Skills and Job Responsibilities
Selected candidates should have good knowledge and practical experience in the following areas:
- Reading and interpreting IFC drawings, isometric drawings and alignment sheets.
- Preparing and implementing method statements and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
- Managing welding, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and coating activities as per Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
- Handling hydrotest packages and pipeline tie-in activities.
- Managing pre-commissioning activities, punch lists and project handover.
- Handling shutdown and turnaround tie-in activities.
- Supervising and coordinating site execution activities to ensure project requirements are met.
